Intercultural communications: A contrastive analysis of cultures.

This graphic show the differences between Italy's dimensions and Colombia's dimension   Those countrys are different in many aspects, cultures and characteristics. We can see the variety in their scores, especially in Individualism and Indulgence. These couple of dimension shows a high contrast: Individualism Colombia   with one of the lowest score in individualism, have a 13 that indicates that the collective opinion are very important in the society, they prefer to stay in groups than individuals. For Colombians the relationships are the key for achieve goals and have success. And in the other hand,  Italy  with a score of 76 in individualism, shows as a country that achieve their owns goals, and is fundamental their own family and people. They respect the opinion, but their opinion is principal. Italians prefer to do individuals works than collectives works.  Based on the Lewis Model, we think that Italy is a country totally related to being multiactive, because as we show before how italians tend to be , they are mostly characterized by being very friendly, also they use to spend a lot of time with their families, doing meetings and activities together and their streets are thought to be noisy. In addition, they are warm-hearted, being so sensitive and sentimental that even men kiss each other as a greeting. But they are also linear-active because they are very punctual and organized with their appointments.  If an italian comes to Barranquilla to study, in some situations they're going to feel comfortable because the italian is going to find a very multiactive place, as in the way they greet each other, in the warm way they treat each other, and in all the noise and extroverted manner, and also they may like that the barranquilleros tend to do the activities and events in groups with a lot of union .  what is the role of women in Italian culture? What are those stereotypes that Italians have? first of all we recognize as in many cultures that the women is exclusively in charge of the family, therofore, the women dedicate all of her time to the home and their childrens, although, nowdays we realize that as in Colombian culture as well as the Italian this it is not radical, nevertheless, in the past it was difficult to get a job due to in the Italians culture the main role of women was the family such as the Colombian culture.The main stereotypes of the Italians are: - eat pizza and pasta all the time - say mamma mia with this gesture The first stereotype, we realize that it is very true since Italians tend to eat a lot of pasta in their meals in different types of presentations such as macaroni or carbonara, also, a curious fact in Bologna, in this region italians say  "pasta al raghù" instead of bolognese pasta,on the other hand,  we think that all italians are fans o...
