Intercultural communications: A contrastive analysis of cultures.

 In Italy like in any other countries have different subcultures, but in this case we decided the two more relevant subcultures. First we talk about the Mafia, this we view in any movies like “The Godfather”, we can see that they represent it as one of the most dangerous and recognized mafias in the world. They show the power and the reach they can get.  Also one of the most notable Italian subcultures is the Catholic culture, it is very prevalent in many aspects regarding the country. Considering it’s at the forefront of many revolutionary political and social movements, and even though the Church has undergone many changes in the latest centuries, losing a lot of dominance due to secular Liberalism, it’s following has maintained a place in Italy (39,661,400 members).

This graphic show the differences between Italy's dimensions and Colombia's dimension   Those countrys are different in many aspects, cultures and characteristics. We can see the variety in their scores, especially in Individualism and Indulgence. These couple of dimension shows a high contrast: Individualism Colombia   with one of the lowest score in individualism, have a 13 that indicates that the collective opinion are very important in the society, they prefer to stay in groups than individuals. For Colombians the relationships are the key for achieve goals and have success. And in the other hand,  Italy  with a score of 76 in individualism, shows as a country that achieve their owns goals, and is fundamental their own family and people. They respect the opinion, but their opinion is principal. Italians prefer to do individuals works than collectives works.
